| Available materials | We produce stand-up pouches (doypacks), flat pouches and laminate on rolls from a wide range of packaging materials, selected according to the type of product and the protection it requires. Our range covers multilayer barrier laminates (including PP/PET/PE), which limit gas permeation and aroma loss; metallised laminates (including PP/PET MET/PE), which protect the contents from light, oxygen and moisture; materials with an EVOH barrier layer; and mono-material structures based on polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), designed with recycling in mind. The materials are available in clear, white and metallised versions and in various thicknesses, as well as in paper-look variants and as heat-sealable paper. You can order some materials directly in the online configurator and select from the full range of materials with the help of our sales department. We provide technical data sheets and declarations of compliance on request. |
| Available colours | We produce printed stand-up pouches (doypacks) and flat pouches in any colour scheme, in line with the supplied artwork. Flexible packaging can feature clear windows that put the contents on display, as well as metallic-effect elements that highlight selected details of the design. We offer gloss and matt finishes, as well as a soft-touch finish that gives the pack a velvety surface. |
| Lead time | from 5 working days |
| Size | We produce stand-up pouches (doypacks), flat pouches and laminate on rolls (rollstock) in a variety of sizes, including non-standard formats tailored to the individual needs of the product. The standard range offers 17 doypack formats, from 85 × 145 × 50 mm to 300 × 310 × 100 mm, and 17 flat pouch formats, from 85 × 145 mm to 300 × 310 mm. Laminate on rolls is available in widths from 60 to 740 mm and repeat lengths from 30 to 1100 mm. Flexible packaging can also be produced in dimensions tailored to individual requirements. |
| Finish | We offer printed stand-up pouches (doypacks) and flat pouches with a gloss, matt or velvety soft-touch finish, as well as in paper-look variants. Flexible packaging can be made with or without a clear window and fitted with functional features such as a resealable zip closure, a spout, an easy-open tear notch, laser scoring for easier opening, a valve, a euro slot or round hang hole, and square or rounded corners. Which options are available, and whether they can be combined, depends on the type of packaging and the material chosen. |
| Additional options | Stand-up pouches (doypacks) and flat pouches can be fitted with additional functional features, matched to the type of product and the way the pack is used. Available options include a resealable zip closure that allows the pack to be opened and closed repeatedly, an easy-open tear notch that makes it easy to open without scissors, laser scoring that makes controlled opening of the pack easier, a one-way degassing valve (used in packaging for freshly roasted coffee, among other applications), a clear window that displays the contents, a euro slot (euro hole) or round hole for hanging on display hooks, and square or rounded corners. The availability of individual options depends on the type and construction of the packaging. |
| Application areas | Stand-up pouches (doypacks), flat pouches and laminate on rolls are used in many industries, including the food, cosmetics, chemical and pet industries. They are used to pack whole-bean and ground coffee, tea, herbs, spices, salt, sugar, flour and baking mixes, groats, rice, cereal flakes, granola, dried fruit and nut mixes, nuts, dried and freeze-dried fruit, confectionery, jelly sweets and snacks. They also work well as packaging for dietary supplements, vitamins, protein powders and powdered products, pet food, treats and supplements for animals, cosmetics, bath salts, detergents, washing powders and cleaning products, fertilisers and garden products. Depending on the structure and properties of the material, they can also be used to pack liquid and semi-liquid products. The range also covers single-serve sachets, sample packs, packaging for promotional products and for limited and seasonal editions, packaging for e-commerce brands, and laminate on rolls designed for automatic packaging machines. Choosing the right packaging structure depends on the properties of the product being packed, the protection required and the packing conditions. |
| Uses | LabelExpress flexible packaging is used to pack food, cosmetics, chemical products, dietary supplements and pet products. Doypacks, i.e. stand-up pouches with a bottom gusset, are well suited to packing coffee, tea, spices, dried fruit and nut mixes, snacks, nutrition products and pet food. They can be fitted with a resealable zip closure that allows the pack to be opened and closed repeatedly. Flat pouches are used to pack samples, single portions, cosmetics and free-flowing, liquid and semi-liquid products. Laminate on rolls is designed for packing products on automatic packaging machines. A well-chosen structure and the barrier properties of the material help protect the contents from moisture, oxygen and light, supporting the preservation of their quality and freshness. Custom printing allows the look of the packaging to be matched to the brand's visual identity. |
| Delivery format | We offer LabelExpress flexible packaging as ready-to-fill stand-up pouches (doypacks) and flat pouches, and as printed laminate on rolls (rollstock). Doypacks are stand-up pouches with a specially formed base that opens out under the weight of the contents, providing stability and allowing the pack to stand upright on the shelf on its own. Flat pouches have no stand-up base and are designed to be filled and then heat-sealed. Both types are available in a range of sizes, with custom printing and the option of additional functional features. We supply laminate on rolls on 76 mm diameter cores, with the material width, repeat length and print orientation adjustable to the parameters of the packaging machine. It is designed for automatic forming, filling and sealing of packs on vertical and horizontal packaging lines (VFFS/HFFS). |
| Advantages | LabelExpress combines short-run printing of flexible packaging with a wide range of materials offering different properties and uses. We offer stand-up pouches (doypacks), flat pouches and laminate on rolls made from multilayer barrier films, metallised laminates, materials with an EVOH layer and PE- and PP-based structures designed with recycling in mind. | Environmental properties | LabelExpress offers flexible packaging made from a variety of material structures, including mono-material solutions based on polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), designed with recycling in mind. Using one predominant type of plastic may facilitate the subsequent sorting and processing of packaging in the appropriate waste streams. Material selection takes into account both product protection requirements and the options for managing the material after use. Producing stand-up pouches (doypacks) and flat pouches from just 1 unit makes it possible to match the order size to actual demand, reducing the risk of overproduction, the quantity of unused packaging and the need to store excess stock. The option of ordering short print runs encourages a more efficient use of materials. The ultimate suitability of a pack for recycling depends on its entire structure, the components used and the waste collection and processing systems available. |
| Environmental benefits | By choosing LabelExpress flexible packaging, you can reduce the environmental impact of your business through a considered choice of materials and by ordering quantities that match your actual needs. Producing stand-up pouches (doypacks) and flat pouches in short runs makes it possible to reduce overproduction, excess stock and the quantity of unused packaging, for example after a change of recipe, artwork or product labelling. If solutions designed with recycling in mind matter to you, you can choose mono-material structures based on polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), in selected variants also with a clear window. Reducing the number of different types of plastic may facilitate the subsequent sorting and processing of packaging. Thanks to our wide range of materials, you can match the packaging both to the requirements of your product and to your brand's environmental goals. The ultimate suitability of a pack for recycling depends on its entire structure and on the waste collection and processing systems available. |
