The use of rectangular labels

Product labelling is a necessary part of product marking. Labels serve marketing, informative, and warning purposes. Products are labelled everywhere. There are almost no unlabelled products for sale on the market. Advertising stickers or information labels are used on products, bulk packaging, as bar codes, and as QR codes. Labels are used to mark all kinds of products, including car parts, technical components, electronics, food, chemicals, cosmetics, toys, etc.

When designing a label for your product, you should determine the necessary elements, which it must include, and the information you want it to display. You should also consider the shape of the used label because this element determines the quantity of presented information. So what do you need to consider when you are choosing the shape and size of the label? First of all, you have to know the size of the product’s labelled surface, whether the label will be used for marketing or informative purposes or present just the barcode, etc., and storage space of the product, on which it will be applied.

Companies often choose rectangular labels, stickers, or tags because this format allows for adaptation of both the length and width of the label’s surface to the printed content. Rectangular labels are perfect for bottles, especially alcohol bottles (wine labels, liquor labels, beer labels, vodka labels) or bottles containing all kinds of juices and other beverages, for jars, or for cans. The universal nature of rectangular stickers makes them perfect for labelling of many other products in form of adhesive labels or various kinds of tags for e.g. clothing.

Our offer includes rectangular labels in the most popular sizes, but you can also customise the label size as you choose as long as the dimensions of individual labels fall between 20 x 20 mm and 320 x 1000 mm. Digital printing and laser cutting allow for printing of labels in any sizes at no additional production launch costs associated with development of offset or polymer plates or special punch dies.

When it comes to predefined label sizes, you can choose from among the most popular materials on the market, i.e. paper and polypropylene foil. Foil labels come in white or see-through (on transparent foil). If you require custom label sizes, more materials are available. Besides paper and PP foil, you can have your labels printed on polyester foil (PET foil), which offers the best resistance towards external factors. The most popular material among the clients is polypropylene foil, which is also resistant to external factors like water, oil, or mechanical damage (it does not tear from great force and only slightly stretches). Besides the material, you can also compose it with a specific adhesive offering desired attributes.

As a label manufacturer, we are offering printed labels of top quality and compliant with the provided graphical project. After the printing process, all labels are wound onto special rolls called cores, which allow them to be applied with a labelling device (labeller) or e.g. with special boxes (dispensers) assisting in manual application of stickers to products. Specific parameters like print orientation, core diameter, or space between labels can adapt the end product, which is the adhesive label roll, to your specific labelling device.
